Eastbourne is my home. It’s where I’m raising my family, built my career, and spent years working to improve our town. I love Eastbourne, and I’m standing in this election because I want to give back to the place that has given me so much.
For nearly two decades, I worked for Eastbourne Borough Council—starting as a tree officer and working my way up to Director of Service Delivery, overseeing key services, staff, and budgets. That experience has given me a deep understanding of how the Council works—and crucially, how to fix it. I've seen first-hand why our services have declined, what the root causes are and what needs to change to get Eastbourne back on track.
For the last 18 years, our town has been let down by a Lib Dem-run Council that cuts services while always asking you to pay more. Our streets aren’t as clean, our roads and pavements are in need of repair, and vital community facilities have been abandoned. It doesn’t have to be this way. I have a plan to turn things around. It’s a plan built on experience—I have a proven track record of getting things done for Eastbourne, whether through my work at the Council, as a school governor, or by working with residents and businesses to deliver improvements.
We all know elections in Eastbourne are always a close race between the Conservatives and the Lib Dems. This year will be no different. If you want change, don’t waste your vote on a party that isn’t in the running. While other candidates can identify the problems, I am the only one with the knowledge, record, and experience to deliver the structural change that will get real results.
I would be honoured to have your support. With your vote, we can restore pride in our town and build an Eastbourne with a brighter future.
I'm Rosie Moon, a dedicated local campaigner standing as a candidate in the upcoming Langney by-election for Eastbourne Borough Council. I'm committed to giving Langney a stronger voice and working to ensure that residents' concerns are heard and addressed at the Council.
Born and raised in Eastbourne, I attended Ratton School and East Sussex College, where I focused on public services before qualifying as a bookkeeper. With deep roots in our town, I've witnessed firsthand the impact of decisions made by our Lib Dem-run council and am passionate about standing up for residents who feel let down by years of mismanagement.
I've been a vocal critic of the Council's handling of public assets, including the attempted closure of the Sovereign Centre's pools and public toilets, the neglect of key community sites such as Motcombe Pool, the Bandstand, and the Redoubt, as well as the steep rise in parking charges and reductions in essential services like grass-cutting. I believe that Langney residents deserve better.
For too long, Langney has been neglected by our Council. I want future generations to enjoy the Eastbourne I grew up in. I know how much this town means to the people who live here because I feel the same way. If elected, I will work tirelessly to ensure Langney gets the attention and investment it deserves.
