New daffodils have burst into flower to ensure that King's Drive celebrates spring in style.

And the bloomin' marvel is all thanks to Ratton Conservative councillors who used the last of their devolved budget to brighten the road with no fewer than 1600 bulbs.

Local residents in Fennells Close have been quick to say thanks to their hard-working councillors.

Cllr. Colin Belsey said: "We felt we could use our remaining budget to brighten this section of King's Drive being a busy road, for the sake of al."

Colin is pictured with the new daffs in full bloom.
