Local Conservative councillor 'locked up' to support local hospice

A local Conservative councillor faced being locked up, but all for a good cause. 

Cllr Paul Metcalfe MBE, who represents Sovereign ward in Eastbourne, suffered the penalty for alleged ‘Crimes Against Fashion’.

"Please help raise my £1,000 Bail Bond!", was the plea from the about-to-be-imprisoned councillor.

Paul's efforts on Friday 18th March (pictured) were all for a great cause, of course: St Wilfrid's Hospice. The imprisonment will be at Eastbourne's Wish Tower as part of the hospices' Jail & Bail fundraiser.
