Warm welcome greeted postmistress as Meads pop-up post office opened for business

Meads pop up post office opened this morning (22 March) in the Pauling Room of St. John's parish church.

Conservative councillors for Meads, Jane Lamb and Robert Smart, join the parish priest and Meads Community Association campaigners to greet Prital, the new postmistress.

The temporary post office will open between 10am and 12 Noon on Tuesdays.

"Thank you to the MCA campaigners, Rev. Giles Carpenter for all your work and cooperation in getting this organised", said Cllr Lamb.

Work continues, including by Eastbourne's MP, Caroline Ansell, and MCA campaigners, to press Post Office management to find a permanent solution.
