Plans to redevelop St. Elisabeth’s Church into 25 flats have been rejected by Eastbourne Council’s Planning Committee.

Ratton - Support for Payback Team

Ratton Ward Councillors have used part of their Devolved Ward Budget to provide some new equipment for the ‘Payback’ Team. After receiving a request for some new equipment from one of the Councils Enforcement Officers who looks after the Payback Team, Ward Councillor Barbara Goodall contacted her other Ward Colleagues, Sandie Howlett and Colin Belseyand it was agreed that they would use £500 from the devolved budget to buy the required equipment.

Residents in Longstone Road have raised concerns over the state of the street sign at the lower end of their road and the fact that it is almost illegible! Ratton Councillors win speed reduction after long fight

After years of trying to get the speed limit reduced on the A2070 from Willingdon Roundabout to Beverington Road, Ratton’s three Councillors have finally won. Many months back with the help of Ratton School Deputy Headteacher Ann Wardle and local resident Chris Smith, County Councillor Colin Belsey presented a petition to County Hall, last week Cllr. Matthew Lock agreed to allow the reduction in the limit and the process is now being set in motion.
