Cllr. Kshama Shore OBE

Borough Councillor for Sovereign
Shadow Finance Portfolio Holder
Member of the Cabinet, Audit & Governance Committee

Kshama Shore migrated, with her parents, to the UK from Tanzania as a 19-year-old before a 40-year career with Customs and Excise (latterly HM Revenue & Customs) ended with recent retirement. It was an occupation which included an attachment to the Department for Work and Pensions to implement their diversity policy.

Expecting to travel soon after moving to Eastbourne with her husband, Kshma had always hankered to live by the sea. Other hobbies include walking and reading.

Always busy, not just with council duties, but also as trustee of a local charity, Wayfinderwoman, and a member of the local Soroptimist group, Kshma works hard with her Sovereign Ward colleagues to resolve local issues.
