Chairman of Eastbourne Conservatives
Iain Shore is Chairman of Eastbourne Conservatives. He grew up abroad in an Army family, being sent to school at Clifton College in Bristol, then to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, beginning commissioned service in 1974.
On leaving the Army, he became a Civil Servant in what is now the National Crime Agency, working in both tax fraud and combatting drug smuggling operations in the UK and Europe.
Iain was headhunted by Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants and later by Taylor Woodrow/Taylor Wimpey. He retired as Group Tax Manager and Director of several subsidiaries, including the Taylor Woodrow Pension Fund.
He is married to Kshama and has two grown-up children.
Very active in the local community, Iain is a committee member of Sovereign Harbour Residents’ Association, and Director of Eastbourne Community Land Trust.
He has wide and varied Interests, especially travel, the local community and countryside matters.
